Mutualism: Landscapes From Scratch
SlowPitchSound and Mo:delic Arts present: Mutualism - Landscapes from Scratch.
Mutualism: Landscapes From Scratch is an educational performance for all ages that includes spoken word and visuals related to the natural environment.
Experimental turntablist/beat-maker SlowPitchSound and visual artist Mo:delic Arts explore the idea of a symbiotic relationship between sound and visuals, sharing their process live with a series of improvisations that combine their unique styles.
Musically: Compositions are created live using a turntable as a means of repurposing samples from records as well as improvising with various electronics to create other worldly soundscapes and rhythms. Important Information about nature is also scratched and manipulated throughout.
Visually: Paper cutouts and other materials are arranged live using a turntable platter as a stage for the live collages projected on screen.
